eMontenegro

eMontenegro is a guide and directory for Montenegro in four languages: English, Montenegrin, German and Russian. It covers places (towns, beaches, national parks, mountains, rivers, lakes, monuments, museums, viewpoints), services (pharmacies, hospitals, ATMs and bank branches, emergency numbers) and live data (weather, road conditions, sea temperature, snow, fuel prices, planned power and water cuts, air quality). It is made in Montenegro.

Why it exists

Facts about Montenegro are scattered across official PDFs, operator sites and travel blogs that contradict each other. The same river is 94 km long in one source and 123 km in another; a park fee is quoted at three prices; a pharmacy rota carries no date. eMontenegro puts the facts in one place, records the source of each, and links every place to the services around it: the pharmacy, hospital and ATM nearest a beach or a trailhead.

What we cover

  • Places: one page per town, beach, park, mountain, river, lake, monument, museum or viewpoint, with its own text, photos, facts box, map and nearby places. Places with little to say about them are rows on a category page rather than pages of their own.
  • Services: pharmacies, hospitals and clinics, ATMs and bank branches and emergency numbers, from official registers and the institutions' own sites, each row with its source. The pharmacy list is refreshed every day from the Health Insurance Fund and Montefarm.
  • Live data: weather for each town, the road report and road notices, sea temperature, snow depth, fuel prices, planned power and water cuts and air quality, each refreshed on its own schedule. A live box appears only while its source has fresh data; when a source fails, the box disappears rather than show old numbers.
  • A map of every place and service we list: emontenegro.com/en/map/.

What we do not do

  • No booking. We sell no rooms, tours or transfers and take no commission on them. If that changes, it will be labelled where it appears.
  • No paid placements. No business has paid to be listed or to be listed first. Directory rows come from registers and institutions, not from advertisers.
  • No reviews or star ratings. We collect none and import none from other sites.
  • No made-up numbers. A height, length, price, opening time or date appears only when a source for it is recorded. When sources disagree, the page follows the official standard set out in the editorial policy.

How pages are made

Research starts from official sources: MONSTAT, the Water Administration register, the national parks service, tourist boards, ministries and the institutions themselves. Pages are written in English and Montenegrin and translated into German and Russian with exactly the same facts. Drafting and translation use AI assistance; every fact is traced to a source, and an eMontenegro editor checks each page before it goes live. The full policy is on the editorial policy page and the sources on data sources.
