Cycling in Montenegro has an official backbone: five national Top Trails with GPX files, from 236 km to 626 km, plus the Durmitor Ring, the Osmica between Plav and Gusinje, a Bay of Kotor loop up to Njeguši and a Podgorica-Virpazar-Rijeka Crnojevića loop around Skadar Lake. Below that sit the tourist boards' day rides with climb figures, and the national parks' mountain-bike loops with bikes for hire at Biogradska gora, Prokletije and Lovćen. Bikes are also rented in the coastal towns and by Nature Park Piva. On the coast riding is possible all year.
