What a tandem flight is like
At Budva the pilot launches from the Brajići ridge, the flight crosses the Budva riviera and lands on the sand at Bečići, about 10-15 minutes in the air; Savin kuk on Durmitor gives a flight of the same length. Brajići also has a 1,200 m zip line that runs from April to October. Weight limits and pick-up arrangements are set by each operator.
Savin kuk: the chairlift
The Savin kuk take-off is reached with one transfer by the two-seat Savin kuk chairlift, about 20 minutes from the base. After a fatal accident on the Savin kuk II chairlift on 20 December 2025, Savin kuk I reopened on 31 January 2026 and Savin kuk II did not run that season; check the lift status before planning a flight there. The lifts are described under skiing in Montenegro.
Season
Spring, summer and autumn. Flights are legal only in visual meteorological conditions and within the window from half an hour before sunrise to half an hour after sunset.
Rules, licences and who to ask
Three rules of the Civil Aviation Agency matter to passengers: flights only in visual conditions and daylight as above; organised take-off and landing sites must be approved by the Agency for the operator; and tandem pilots must tell passengers that they fly at their own risk. Flying solo requires training with a certified pilot, and several licensed schools operate in the country; a tandem flight with an instructor is the alternative. Questions go to the Paragliding Association of Montenegro.
Prices are set by each operator.
