A passage takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the water level and the group's fitness, and it is done with experienced guides and full equipment. The canyon was first passed in 1965.

What a trip involves

Nevidio is a guided trip, not a walk: it needs good fitness, experienced guides and proper equipment, and the group wades, swims and jumps its way down, with drops of up to 10 m. Trips are organised through agencies or privately; a typical package includes transport, guides, equipment, lunch, insurance and the fee for passing the canyon. The agencies in Žabljak run Nevidio among their outdoor trips. Follow the Mountain Rescue advice; the emergency number is 112.

The time through and the difficulty depend on the water level: ask the operator about the level before the day, and go only with the fitness a 3 to 4 hour passage needs.

Getting there

The canyon is in Šavnik municipality, on the Komarnica. Most trips start in Žabljak with an agency, and the transport to the canyon is part of the package.
