Miločer beach, also called Kraljeva plaža (King's Beach) after King Alexander Karađorđević, is 280 m of fine sand in front of Hotel Miločer, the former royal summer residence, in a park of exotic trees between Pržno and Sveti Stefan in the municipality of Budva. The beach lies inside the resort lease, so the resort sets the terms for non-guests.

Getting there

The Budva-Sveti Stefan city bus leaves Mediteranska street in Budva every 10 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00, then every 15-30 minutes until 01:30, and stops at Miločer after Bečići, Kamenovo and Pržno; the Budva-Petrovac line, about hourly, stops at Sveti Stefan. By car, Miločer lies on the Adriatic highway between Pržno and Sveti Stefan.

The beach

280 m long with an area of 7,400 m². Fine sand, pebbly and rocky in places. The former Karađorđević summer house stands directly behind the beach, which is known for its celebrity visitors.

Public or private

The beach is part of the leased resort grounds. The rules for non-guests, and the price of a lounger, are set by the resort and have changed between seasons; ask at the park entrance. On the public beaches of the coast the rule is fixed: every public bathing area keeps half of its length free of loungers, with a free strip along the water, and the bathing season runs from May to October, when the water is tested.

Miločer park

The park grew around the Miločer villa, built as the summer residence of the Karađorđević dynasty: Lebanon cedar, eucalyptus, tropical mimosa, Japanese medlar, cacti, agave and pittosporum among the local Mediterranean plants. It lies behind this beach and Kraljičina plaža, the Queen's beach at the Pržno end.
