Kraljičina plaža (Queen's Beach) is a 200 m cove at the entrance to Miločer park, near Hotel Miločer, between Pržno and Sveti Stefan in the municipality of Budva. It is named after Queen Maria Karađorđević, whose favourite beach it was when Miločer was the royal summer residence. The beach lies inside the Aman resort lease, and the resort sets the terms for non-guests.

Getting there

The Budva-Sveti Stefan city bus leaves Mediteranska street in Budva every 10 minutes from 06:00 to 22:00 and stops at Miločer on its way through Bečići, Kamenovo and Pržno; the Budva-Petrovac line, about hourly, stops at Sveti Stefan. By car, Miločer lies on the Adriatic highway between Pržno and Sveti Stefan.

The beach

200 m long with an area of 1,950 m², in a cove between two wooded headlands at the Pržno end of Miločer park. Behind the beach is the resort spa, in the shade of old cedars and pines.

Public or private

The beach belongs to the leased grounds of the Sveti Stefan and Miločer resort. Whether non-guests may use it, and at what price, is decided by the resort, and the terms have changed from season to season; ask at the park entrance rather than relying on an older guide. Along the rest of the coast the rule is simpler: every public bathing area must keep half of its length free of loungers, with a free strip along the water, and the bathing season runs from May to October, when the water is tested.

Miločer park

The park grew around the Miločer villa, built as the summer residence of the Karađorđević dynasty: Lebanon cedar, eucalyptus, tropical mimosa, Japanese medlar, cacti, agave and pittosporum among the local Mediterranean plants. It lies behind both this beach and Miločer (King's) beach, the next cove towards Sveti Stefan.
