The bronze monument to Petar I Petrović Njegoš, almost 7 m high, stands in part of University Park on Bulevar Džordža Vašingtona in Podgorica. The sculptor is Nenad Šoškić. The Podgorica Tourist Organisation describes Petar I as state-builder, military and church leader, canonised as St Peter of Cetinje; his relics are in Cetinje Monastery.
