The Petrović Palace

King Nikola I built the palace for his son Prince Mirko. The foundation stone was laid on 20 April 1891, the building dates from 1891/92, and the complex of palace, guard house and chapel of St Demetrius was completed in 1894 under the engineer Marko Đukanović. The park was laid out from 1905, and a flower pavilion, the botanical garden, was built in late 1910 to plans by a French architect. From the Balkan Wars until 1974 the palace served as a hospital; the American Red Cross renovated it in 1919. In 1984 it was converted to exhibition space, and in November 1984 the Gallery of Art of the Non-Aligned Countries "Josip Broz Tito" opened here, running until April 1995. The complex is a protected cultural monument.

On 31 March 2023 the Government transformed it into the Museum of Contemporary Art of Montenegro. The Galerija MSUCG occupies the former Lexicographic Institute, a building by the architect Svetlana Kana Radević built in 1984-1989 and used as a gallery since 1995.
