Dobreč (Uvala Dobreč) is a pebble cove with some concrete platforms on the outer shore of the Luštica peninsula, in the municipality of Herceg Novi. There is no road to it: you arrive by boat, which is also why it stays quiet. It is one of three coves in a row on this side of Luštica, with Žanjice and Mirište next to it, and the boats that run from Herceg Novi to the Blue Cave pass this way.

Getting there

Only from the sea. The usual way is a boat trip from Herceg Novi or from Žanjice, where the tour boats of the bay stop; the Blue Cave, the former submarine tunnels and Mamula island are the other stops on those trips. Taxi boats and excursion boats set their own timetables and fares.

The cove

Pebble, with concrete parts along the shore. The sea on this side of Luštica is open. A boat day here means bringing your own water and shade.

Blue Flag

The bathing area at Dobreč, listed as Stevuzo or Vestevuzo, held the Blue Flag in seasons up to 2018 and was in the pilot phase in 2020. In Montenegro the flag goes to a single bathing area run by one concession holder, not to a whole beach.

Rules and season

The bathing season on the coast runs from May to October, when the bathing water is tested. Every public bathing area must keep half of its length free of loungers and umbrellas and post lifeguards through the season.
