Plavi horizonti is the largest beach in Tivat municipality: fine sand with an easy, shallow entry in Pržna bay on the Luštica peninsula, 14 km by road from Tivat (about 22 minutes). It suits children, with sunbeds and umbrellas, sports fields, changing rooms, showers, parking and a dock, and both of its bathing areas have held the Blue Flag. The name comes from the former Hotel Plavi horizonti that stood here.

Getting there and parking

By car, 14 km from Tivat across Luštica (about 22 minutes). The Luštica panoramic road leaves the big roundabout on the Tivat-Budva road and winds for 40 km through Bjelila, Krašići, Zabrđe, Klinci, Mrkovi, Tići, Mardari and Begovići to Luštica Bay; it has narrow, steep stretches, and Pržna bay is reached from it. There is parking at the beach and a dock for boats. Tivat Airport is the nearest airport.

The beach

Fine sand on the shore and a gentle, shallow entry, which is what makes it the family beach of Tivat. Sunbeds and umbrellas are for hire, with sports fields, changing rooms and showers behind the sand.

Loungers and the free half

Every public bathing area must keep half of its length free of loungers and umbrellas and mark it, with a free strip along the water and a passage to the sea at least every 20 m. Lifeguards are posted at least one per 50 m of shore in July and August and one per 100 m in the other months of the season, which runs from May to October, when the bathing water is also tested.

Blue Flag

The bathing areas "Plavi horizont" 12A1 and 12A2 in Pržna bay have held the Blue Flag in many seasons. The flag belongs to each concession, not to the whole beach. On the same peninsula, the Hotel Chedi Luštica Bay area (13C) has also held the flag.
