Trsteno is a cove of fine sand with a sandy sea floor, surrounded by vegetation, on the Grbalj coast of Kotor municipality, west of Jaz and before Ploče. It is a sand beach with a sandy bottom, good for families, and the Budva city bus to Jaz, Trsteno and Ploče serves it in summer.
Getting there and parking
By car from Budva along the Grbalj coast road past Jaz; Jaz is 6 km and about 10 minutes from Budva, and the Trsteno turn-off follows. The city bus Budva-Jaz-Trsteno-Ploče leaves Mediteranska street in Budva with 14 departures between 08:00 and 19:15 and returns between 08:45 and 20:00; it is a seasonal service.
The beach
Fine sand on the shore and a sandy seabed, with vegetation around the cove. Sand and a sandy bottom make it the easiest entry for small children on this stretch of coast, where Ploče is rock and concrete and Jaz is pebble.
Loungers and the free half
Every public bathing area must keep half of its length free of loungers and umbrellas and mark it, with a free strip along the water and a passage to the sea at least every 20 m. Lifeguards are posted at least one per 50 m of shore in July and August and one per 100 m in the other months of the season, which runs from May to October, when the bathing water is also tested. No bathing area at Trsteno has held the Blue Flag.

Trsteno is in Kotor municipality, not Budva. The Grbalj coast is the open-sea shore of Kotor municipality between Jaz and Trašte bay.
