Vojnik is a 1,998 m mountain in the official survey table and one of the five mountains that the Šavnik tourist board says frame its town, with Durmitor, Sinjajevina, Ivica and the Moračke planine. Secondary sources place it between Nikšić, Šavnik and Plužine, about 20 km north of Nikšić, dropping into the canyons of the Komarnica and Bukovica. It has no protected status.

Šavnik is the nearest town. The Komarnica canyon lies on the mountain's flank; Maglić and the Piva nature park are in the Plužine municipality.
