The Zlorečica is a left tributary of the Lim that joins it just before Andrijevica, one of the Lim's main tributaries and part of the Andrijevica fly-fishing zone, which covers the Lim and its tributaries. It is a fishing river first: cold, clear water with brown trout, grayling and rainbow trout, fished catch and release and at its best in September and October. With Lake Plav, the Ljuča and the Lim it has hosted the European fly-fishing championship.
Course
The 2021 water management plan treats the river with its headstreams, the Kutska and Mojanska rivers, as one natural water body, Kutska/Mojanska/Zlorečica, of 28.02 km in Andrijevica municipality; the lowest part of the system carries the name Zlorečica. A hydrological station, Zlorečica-Andrijevica, measures the river near the mouth. Several small hydropower plants are built or under construction in the catchment, among them Rijeka (2.97 MW), Mojanska rijeka (6.10 MW) and Kutska rijeka (2.50 MW).
Fishing
The Andrijevica zone takes in the Lim and its tributaries, the Zlorečica among them. The water is extremely cold and clear, the fish are brown trout, European grayling and rainbow trout, the best months are September and October, and the zone is catch and release only. A single hook is the rule in fly zones, flies are tied without a return hook, and the daily zone permit comes from the sport-fishing club that manages the stock. Plav, Gusinje, Andrijevica and Berane made fly fishing popular in Montenegro when they hosted the European Fly Fishing Championship on Lake Plav and on the Ljuča, the Lim and the Zlorečica.
Closed seasons come from the national order of 2026 (Sl. list CG 75/2026, in force 11 June 2026). In Andrijevica waters all trout are closed from 1 November to 15 March, grayling from 1 March to 1 June, nase from 15 April to 1 June, and carp and other cyprinids from 1 May to 15 June; huchen and pike are closed in all waters until 1 April 2029 and must be returned alive. Other zones are on the fly-fishing page; the Bistrica at Berane and the Ljuboviđa are the other two trout tributaries of the Lim with pages here.
Getting there
Andrijevica is the town at the mouth, in the upper Lim valley between Plav and Berane, on the valley road that links the two; the Knjaževac memorial park is in the town. Berane is 92.8 km from Podgorica, about 1 h 37 min by car, and Plav 41.1 km from Berane, about 55 minutes; Andrijevica lies between them. Driving times are free-flow, without traffic or snow.
