Savin kuk, 2,325 m, is the peak the Žabljak tourist office calls the classic viewpoint of Durmitor. It stands directly above Black Lake and is reached by a marked one-way trail of 4.76 km with 815 m of climb, graded medium. The paragliding take-off on its slope, at 2,244 m, lies above the top station of the Savin kuk chairlift (2,213 m).

What you see
From the top, the tourist office lists five lakes: Crno (Black Lake), Pošćensko, Vražje, Riblje and Jablan. Black Lake itself, at 1,418 m, is two lakes joined by a narrow channel, ringed by conifer forest and by the peaks Međed, Savin kuk and Crvena greda; the national park's educational loop around it is about 3.6 km and takes an hour.
