Crvena greda, 2,175 m, is a peak on the northern edge of the Durmitor massif that the Žabljak tourist office markets as a viewpoint, with a marked loop trail of 7.56 km. From the top you see Jablan lake, the northern slopes of the massif, Crno jezero and the town of Žabljak. It is one of the three peaks, with Međed and Savin kuk, that Durmitor National Park names as the ring around Crno jezero.

What you see

The tourist office describes wide views over northern Durmitor: Jablan lake below, the northern slopes of the massif, Crno jezero and Žabljak. The peak's slopes carry the largest cover of dwarf juniper (kleka) on Durmitor. Local tradition links the name, "red ridge", to the colour of its limestone cliffs at sunrise.
