Nedajno, 1,480 m, is one of the three viewpoints that Durmitor National Park recommends, on the Plužine side of the massif. It looks into the Sušica canyon, across to the village of Mala Crna Gora and over the summer pastures (katuni) around it. The village is a stop on the Durmitor Ring, the signposted panoramic road from Žabljak, and the viewpoint itself is about 900 m above the village on a gravel track.

What you see

The park names the Sušica canyon, Mala Crna Gora, which it calls the best-known village of Durmitor, and the katuni. The panoramic-road guide adds the distant point where the Sušica canyon meets the Tara canyon, and the Mala Crna Gora plateau straight across the gorge. The two villages face each other across the canyon but are 16 km apart by road.

How to get there

  • By car: Nedajno lies on panoramic road 2, the Durmitor Ring (Žabljak, Mala Crna Gora, Nedajno, Trsa, Pišče and back to Žabljak). From the junction on Milogora near Trsa it is about 5 km to Nedajno; the asphalt ends in the village centre.
  • On foot: from the village, about 900 m on a good gravel road to the viewpoint above it. The guide recommends walking this part.
  • GPS: 43.198292, 18.990205, the "VIDIKOVAC" waypoint in the national tourism organisation's route-survey file for the panoramic roads. An OpenStreetMap viewpoint node, "Nedajno (Ivovac)", sits on the same spot.

The 2012-era road guide describes the gravel link between the Sušica canyon and Nedajno as loose and prone to landslides.

Nearby

The Ring continues to Trsa and the Sedlo pass, with the Sedlo viewpoint at 1,907 m. On the Žabljak side, Ćurevac looks into the Tara canyon. Nature Park Piva's lookouts, such as Soko peak above Crkvičko Polje, are in the same municipality.
