Jezerski vrh is the second-highest peak of Lovćen, at 1,657 m, and the one with the road, the Njegoš mausoleum and the viewing terrace. The highest peak is Štirovnik, 1,749 m. From Cetinje it is about 20 km of road and then 461 steps to the top.
What you see
The national park lists, for clear days, much of Montenegro: Orjen and Rumija on the coastal side, Durmitor and Komovi inland, parts of Albania, Herzegovina and Croatia, and on winter nights the lights of Italy across the Adriatic.
How to get there
- By car: from Cetinje about 20 km (the Cetinje tourist office) or 21 km of asphalt (Visit Cetinje) through Lovćen National Park. Park entrance is €3 per person per day and car parking €1 per hour (park price list).
- On foot: from the Ivanova korita visitor centre, 4.8 km one way, graded medium, about 2 hours.
- The last stretch: 461 steps from the car park to the mausoleum.

The mausoleum
The mausoleum of Petar II Petrović Njegoš opened in 1974, with sculptures by Ivan Meštrović. Its ticket price and opening hours are not on the park's price list; the monument page has what is published.

Elevation
The national tourism organisation, the national park and Visit Cetinje give Jezerski vrh as 1,657 m. The 1,749 m sometimes quoted for this viewpoint is Štirovnik, the neighbouring peak.
